I assist on the operations side of the business – from Health & Safety to HR but mainly compliance. I prepare regulatory returns and try to ensure we are all up to date with FCA regulations, our files evidence that we provide good advice and a quality service to our clients and, most importantly, to do that without being too bossy!
This is what I’ve done…
After A levels I joined Barclays Bank and worked my way up from office junior to corporate manager via various roles including cashier, Regional Office and Head Office Loans and Business Support Manager but on my 50th birthday I resigned as I felt I was in need of a change.
Gerald Pepper (my husband) wanted some help in the business so we took the big step of deciding to work as well as live together – both the business and our marriage survived!! After the sale of the business I was keen to continue working and was very happy to stay at gpfm.
…And this is what I’m all about
I love being able to work part time. I have all the benefits of an involvement in a growing business and working with great people but also have time to enjoy the fresh air, not to mention east winds, of Norfolk. It is great to enjoy work and a ‘Hertford’ life of friends and trips to the galleries and theatres in London and then switch to Norfolk and have time for walking, racing, football (Canaries) plus a few holidays thrown in for good measure.
