gpfm Raises Funds For Herts Young Homeless With Wine Tasting
Charity starts at home, as the saying goes. At gpfm, we take this particular expression to heart by trying to support local organisations that enrich our Hertfordshire community. Herts Young Homeless is one such charity, whose efforts centre around preventing homelessness through a number of initiatives, including education, family mediation and caring for those suffering from mental illness.
To raise money and awareness for this important cause, we held our annual Wine Tasting event on 2 August at the lovely Salisbury Hotel in Hertford. We were joined by some of our most valued clients as well as our colleagues from gpfm. The night kicked off with an informative and inspiring talk from Kathryn Salmon, part of Herts Young Homeless and was followed by a little healthy competition tasting the wines.
We began with a refreshing bit of bubbly in the form of a Cremant – a wine heralded as the new Prosecco. Six wines were sampled overall, from both the new and old worlds. For the second year in a row, Emma and her team ‘The Two Daves’ triumphed – but there’s wasn’t the only victory! We are proud to announce that we raised £380 for Herts Young Homeless, as well as having an unforgettable evening.
