Longmores Charitable Foundation Raises £1,595

We’re proud to announce that local charity, Longmores Charitable Foundation has raised £1,595, following a charity golf day.

Our team attended and won the charity golf event, with GPFM Director and Chartered Financial Planner Simon Frost also winning the Longest Drive Competition.

The money raised from this event will be used to award grants to local charities across Hertfordshire and Essex.  The Foundation focuses its charitable efforts towards smaller and less well-known good causes that arguably are in greater need of financial support than many of the more established and national charities.

Established in 2016, the key objectives of the charity are:

  • Preventing or relieving poverty and financial hardship by providing grants and services to charities or other organisations involved in this type of work
  • Supporting charities that care for individuals who are ill or have long-term physical or medical conditions, as well as initiatives to preserve good health
  • Supporting recreational, leisure, educational and other activities to help young people participate in society as mature, responsible individuals

GPFM Director and Financial Planner, Scott Atkinson said: “As part of our continued support of local charities and charitable organisations, we enjoyed a great day at the Longmores Charitable Foundation golf day. Great course, very well organised, excellent cause and the cherry on the cake is GPFM winning the competition! We will be back next year to defend.”
